Understand Fat Loss – Everything you need to know about how to lose weight, and how to apply it.

The biology of fat loss isn’t simple, but it is worth understanding, even approximately. I put everything I learned and used on this site (free access) to go from 95kg to 75kg. Understanding fat loss is the best thing I ever did for my health. Understand how to lose weight and you can do it as well.

-45 lbs of fat + 20 lbs “positive weight”
90% knowledge, 10% effort

Like many, I relied on my instinct to lose fat for many years. I worked out, ran, put on the karate-gi as often as possible, and tried to cut back on foods I judged were poor. Like many, I gained and lost weight without understanding why until I started studying the biology of fat loss and built my plan.

You can go straight to joining the best online weight loss program, with facts, but also long term support that ensures you don’t just attempt to lose weight, but finally succeed and get being overweight and out of shape behind you forever.  All the other pages here will teach you something about the mechanics of fat loss.

(why drink more water? Cardio or strength… or nothing at all? Three types of fiber?? How do I deal with hunger? Is resistance to insulin hindering my efforts? Should I take supplements? How fast can I lose weight? Is quick fat loss dangerous? If so… why?…)

Understanding the mechanics (without going into technical extremes) helps motivate you, teaches you to identify scams, and it makes for great for conversation!

I got rid of my excess weight in the fall of 2008. Closing in on 2010, I haven’t gained back a single pound. Don’t rely on instinct or “feeling motivated” ever again. That doesn’t work. Go for knowledge, method and long-term support.
