Fake Fat Loss

Fake fat loss

What does it mean?

I refer to fake fat loss for any kind of weight loss that isn’t fat loss.

How many people do you know that have excitedly bragged about losing 10 pounds in record time?

Well, a pound of fat being worth 4000 calories, there is absolutely no way anyone can lose 1 in a day (well some people burn 3500 calories a day with a good workout so maybe you can pull it off once), but 10 in a week means you’ve lost some other kinds of weight.

So what kind of weight can you lose that isn’t fat?

Everyone knows you can sweat off weight (water), and lose muscle. But did you know your liver and muscles can store a couple pounds of glycogen?

Did you know your gut flora (intestinal bacteria) can weigh up to five pounds?

Do things wrong with your diet and exercise and you will lose all four types, and the ten pounds off the scale will probably only include 1-2 pounds of fat.

Then you hit a plateau because you cannot lose fat if you are dehydrated, and basically you’ve got no fake fat loss potential left.

If you tough it out and decide you want to lose the fat too quickly, you end up making it much more difficult. With depleted water, muscle tissue and gut flora, you lose your best allies for long-term, natural and efficient fat loss.

Then you fall off the wagon, and without those allies, the most common problems that keep you fat will put a quick end to your fat loss dreams. The weight comes back on, with a few extra pounds of fat as interest.

Read this website thoroughly, and you’ll avoid those mistakes everyone makes. You’ll lose fat efficiently. Whether or not you call it quick depends on your standards, but a 50 lb fat loss goal is realistic for a 9-12 month deadline.

It can be quicker if you are a large, young man (age, weight, activity and gender determine how many calories you need a day, and the more you need, the more margin you have to follow the one most important rule for fat loss).
